What can say is following: - too many 50$ new talents willing to works for that money almost all month - when they get that 50$ must pay back to eLance cca.12 % (bank, fee, ..), so 38$ they own - the best business playing eLance owners - the best job are not publish on board - most of the job are publish Wednesday cca. 4 GMT - there is just NO jobs fro EU like Germany, France, Italy, japan,.. - USA job posters really expect very high quality and very low price - very strange ranking system (top provider made 4 jobs, but someone made 50 jobs and not counting too much - a lot of providers laying about their experience ( no portfolio samples, no skill tested) - etc.. What too say for the end : NOT RECOMMENDED ANY BODY WORKING THEIR, BUT GOOD PLACE TO GET JOB DONE FROM 50 to 300$, PROFIT CAN BE 80% I’ve been working as provider at eLance sometimes at the Engineering & Manufacturing. As an individual, I greatly prefer Elance because I know the sellers value the quality of my work and will pay a fair price for it. There's a lot of reselling and underselling and article spinning on Freelancer and it's not my thing. Freelancer also has a lot of bulk projects (I mainly write), As far as prices, Elance is much cheaper for the kinds of things I do. Freelancer always wants 10% + $1 for withdrawal but Elance will only take 8.75% maximum (that's including both project and withdrawal fees). And the going rates are simply better. I've seen the same projects posted on both sites with a fair price on Elance and a ridiculously budgeted one on Freelancer--simply because providers on freelancer will do it for less. Elance is also better designed and equipped, in general. But I'm curious what type of work you're into because that can definitely change things.
