Sproutgigs is Real or Fake? (Detailed Review)

Sproutgigs is a website where freelancers can find jobs according to their skills. Earlier this website was called Picoworkers but at that time it was only into micro jobs, due to which it was not very successful.

Now the layout of the website is updated along with its name, It looks somewhat like Fiverr and has adopted similar functionality too.

Sproutgigs now allows you to create gigs according to your skills and set a price for them. People who need your expertise will buy your gig and you will be paid once you complete the job. However, you need to be at a higher level to be able to post gigs and the higher level can be reached by doing micro jobs like filling surveys and completing tasks.

How much can you earn on Sproutgigs?

If you only target micro jobs then you don’t have much hope. That is because most of the user reviews posted on Notscam and Trustpilot are not in favor of doing micro jobs on Sproutgigs. So far, most of the users that only do micro jobs on Sproutgigs are getting paid less than $50 per month which is too low.

However, if you are experienced enough to create and sell gigs on Sproutgigs then it can be a different story. But still, you will earn less than Fiverr due to the much bigger freelance market share it has.

Sproutgigs is one of the youngest freelancing markets and has yet to clear the unsatisfactory repute that it inherited from Picoworkers. I am very hopeful that Sproutgigs will try to stay in the good books of both the freelancers and the service buyers. Otherwise, making so many changes to the website will be pointless.

What countries is Sproutgigs in?

Sproutgigs is a worldwide platform so there are no geographical limits. However, you should make sure that you have access to at least one of the payment methods Sproutgigs support to be able to withdraw your earnings.

Is Sproutgigs Legit and Safe to use?

Sproutgigs is a reputable website therefore its very unlikely that it will scam you or anyone else. It seems to be a legitimate and safe website to use.

However, there are some actions reported to us that can be questionable. We have listed them below:

  • Sproutgigs surveys sometimes ask for too personal information which can raise flags.
  • We have received reports of triggering malware warnings on some of the Sproutgigs service buyers’ pages.
  • Sproutgigs charges a small fee for the reactivation of your account if it ever gets deactivated due to prolonged inactivity which is something we have never seen with other freelancing websites.

I have tried to cover all the necessary aspects of Sproutgigs from a freelancer’s perspective but if you think I have left something then please write in the comments section. If you like my review then please share it on your social accounts.
